Mia is a passionate advocate for pleasure-centered, inclusive, and liberatory sex education. With over five years of experience in sexual health research, peer sexual health education, and violence prevention work, she is committed to creating accessible, affirming spaces where sex is celebrated and explored. Her work is rooted in empowerment, community care, and deep belief in sex as a site of power, resistance, and connection. She has a deep interest in sex work research and a belief in sex education as a tool for collective liberation—especially for those most marginalized by systems of violence and stigma. As a queer educator and the Executive Director of Sex Empowered, Mia is guided by the politics of pleasure, harm reduction, and the radical potential of community knowledge where everyone has access to healing and knowledge.

Ky has dedicated six years to advancing sexual health advocacy and education, with a primary focus on promoting pleasure-centered learning throughout the lifespan. Her extensive experience in sex education, teaching, and sexual violence prevention has provided her with deep connections to this crucial work. As a queer educator, Ky unwaveringly strives to create space for inclusive collaboration, conversation, and resistance. Driven by a commitment to equity, Ky strives to make sexual health an accessible reality for everyone throughout all stages of life, ultimately fostering healthier individuals and communities.

River Kratochvil

River Kratochvil is a disability advocate, artist, and educator with five years of experience in inclusive sexual health education. Rooted in values of justice and empowerment, River designs sex-positive programming that addresses the intersections of queerness, disability, and reproductive rights. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, they are passionate about creating affirming spaces where people of all identities can access comprehensive, empowering, and liberatory sexual health information.

Maddy Hu

Maddy has been working in sex education for over 3 years and is committed to comprehensive pleasure based sex education for all. They are particularly interested in how sex functions under capitalism, and how sex can become a means of power, joy, and resistance—disrupting heteronormative white structures of power. A devoted femme dyke, Maddy is indebted to the lesbian and dyke systems of sex, eroticism, knowing, and being.
