A Note on Sexpert Levels:
At Sex Empowered, we firmly believe in meeting people where they are at—whether we are starting to explore sexual health or we have been engaging with these topics for years. To help participants find the best fit for their learning journey, we’ve introduced a “Sexpert Level” ranking scale.
This scale ranges from 1 condom (Beginner-friendly) to 4 condoms (Sexpert Level) and is designed to give you a sense of the program’s depth and complexity. It reflects how nuanced, theoretical, or socially constructed the material may be, as well as how digestible it might feel for someone newer to the topic. A higher Expert Level does not mean you need to be a professional or have prior knowledge to attend—it’s simply a guide to help you gauge the content’s complexity.
Important Note: A higher Sexpert Level should never discourage anyone from joining a program! All are welcome. If a topic interests you, we encourage you to attend—our educators are skilled at making complex material accessible, inclusive, and engaging for all experience levels.

Learn about inclusive pleasure-based sex and reflect on your understanding of sex through a sex-positive lens. Learn about safer sex supplies, barrier methods, STI testing, and contraception overview. We will discuss anatomy, physiology, and pleasure! We will analyze our understanding of sex within our society and its impact on sexual attitudes. We will develop healthier communication skills focused on informed choices, setting boundaries, and self-advocacy. This program is for everyone!

Building Better Relationships
Learn about all interpersonal relationships and recognize healthy features of relationships. We will discuss safer sex practices, how to communicate with your partner(s) regarding STI status, and real scenarios to empower you in your journey. We will discuss dating norms, sexual violence prevention, dating/domestic violence, and how to identify abuse and power dynamics.

Ethical Exploration: Porn, Power, & Pleasure
Dive into the expansive world of the porn and erotic content industry through educational activities and informative material that will expand the way we reflect on the media that we consume. Participants will engage in activities that will dismantle personal biases, practice media literacy skills specific to erotic content, evaluate the nuances of the porn industry, and challenge the way we engage with porn and erotic content. We will cover porn production and ethics, porn literacy, history of pornograpahy in the United States, and how porn and society interact with each other presently. Rated X (for Xtremely informative)

Loud & Queer
Loud and Queer is an affirming program that centers LGBTQIA+ identities through queer sex ed, media literacy, and open dialogue. Participants will explore topics like pleasure, safety, representation, and identity through a queer lens—breaking down myths and celebrating the diversity of queer experience. Interactive media-based activities and discussion prompts folks to engage critically with the stories we see (and don’t see) in pop culture, while building tools for healthy, informed, and affirming sexual lives. Perfect for youth, college groups, and community spaces, Loud and Queer explores sex education through a queer lens, addressing the diverse needs of the LGBTQIA+ community and explores the challenges marginalized LGBTQIA+ groups face in accessing resources and navigating sexual relationships.

This program offers an honest, stigma-free exploration of sex work through a lens of human rights, consent, and social context. We explore legal policies implemented across the world and the real-world implications these presently have on the experiences of sex workers. Participants will unpack myths, misinformation, and media portrayals, learn about the diverse realities of sex work from sex worker’s voices, and explore how criminalization, race, class, and gender intersect with the industry. With an emphasis on safety, agency, and deconstructing stigma, this program invites critical thinking and open dialogue. Exploring Sexuality and Aging. This program offers a comprehensive look at how aging can influence sexual health and well-being for individuals of all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship statuses. Understand the hormonal and physiological changes associated with aging, and we will facilitate conversations on common concerns related to how aging can impact sexual functioning. Explore kink and learn about the wide range of sexual activities that are under the kink umbrella. Kink encompasses a huge range of sexual acts, sexual practices, concepts, fantasies, and more! We will discuss how we can advocate for ourselves, learn about informed consent, safe practices, roleplay, and how to intentionally explore kink with partners. This program is open to folks who are new to kink or who have been engaged in kink spaces for years, We are welcoming to all!

Sex Toy Workshop
Become empowered with how we experience pleasure and deepen our understanding of sexual health. We will dive into the diverse world of sex toys from vibrators to sensation toys. Learn about materials, maintenance, the anatomy of pleasure, and learn skills on how to talk about toys with sexual partner(s). We will facilitate scenario-based conversation tips, learn about our pleasure goals, and create a sex wish list! Throughout the workshop, join in on fun activities, examples include sex charades, pleasure and anatomy games, and sexual position pictionary!

An Introduction to Media Literacy
This program empowers young people to critically engage with the message they consume through media, from movies, music, and social platforms—and understand how it shapes their beliefs about sex, relationships, and self-worth. By learning to identify bias, stereotypes, and unrealistic portrayals, participants build foundational media literacy skills that help them navigate content with confidence and curiosity. We explore how early exposure to media influences feelings about bodies, identity, and intimacy well into adulthood through interactive activities, facilitated discussions, and real-world examples. Ideal for youth and teens, this workshop offers tools to foster lifelong critical thinking and healthier, more informed perspectives—request it to help your group take control of the messages they absorb.

We’ll discuss media representation, cultural stigma, and practical strategies for inclusive and affirming sexual experiences. Lavender Lens is a vibrant workshop that celebrates lesbian history, activism, identity, and joy through a queer, feminist lens. Participants will explore the beauty of dykeness—culminating in a hands-on zine-making activity that invites creative reflection and self-expression. This workshop is part history lesson, part art space, and all about embracing the fullness of lesbian identity in all its intersectional forms. This will include facilitated discussions where participants will connect with each other and reflect on their queerness in an empowering space. Whether you're looking to connect, create, or celebrate, Lavender Lens is a heartfelt space for lesbians and queer folks to reclaim, reimagine, and revel—request it to center dyke brilliance in our communities.
